Milo’s Ethos
My name is Milo Mangel, proud founder of Milo’s Motors. I am a young, fiercely determined, and honest entrepreneur from Utah dead-set on making a name for myself in the Automotive Industry.
At the age of 13, I started helping my Dad with every automotive repair he needed to do for our family. After no time, I was holding the wrenches and doing repairs myself. After a few projects, I realized that this kind of work comes very naturally to me, and….I actually enjoyed it. This started my path into the Automotive Industry.
In High School, I took every Automotive course I could and dedicated a lot of time to learning everything I could about cars. Those three years built a foundation on which I am building my career. But it doesn’t end there.
I then attended Weber State University in pursuit of my Bachelor’s degree in Advanced Vehicle Systems, which is one of the best Automotive Degrees in the country. I grinded for my degree, tackling every new concept with vigor and learning everything I possibly could. My efforts were rewarded and I graduated early with a Magna Cum Laude title.
Armed with this knowledge and all of the work experience I gained, I knew that it was time to step out on my own and build the life I’ve always dreamed of.
Thus, Milo’s Motors was born.
Why not work at another shop? It’s simple, really: I do not like how most shops operate.
To describe what I mean in a backward-fashion, these are my main values in business:
I do not capitalize on Customer ignorance: If there is an issue that needs to be addressed, I will explain it to you fully. I will NOT just recommend a bunch of parts that you do not actually need. If you need more help understanding what is happening, I will always provide that.
Communication, Communication, COMMUNICATION: I cannot stress this enough. I will never leave you in the dark during a repair. You will know exactly what is happening to your vehicle every time I work on it. I also take very thorough notes on every repair, no matter what.
Charging fairly: I know what I am worth, and if I deliver an excellent end-result, I fully expect to be compensated for that. However, if I am unable to deliver, or if I have made a mistake, I own up to it. There is no other way to operate.
The overarching theme here is Transparency, something I find very important. Unfortunately, a lot of automotive repair professionals do not believe in transparency. They would rather distort the truth for more profit. I find it sickening to twist reality in favor of generating profits that you do not deserve. In my business, what is real matters, not what makes me the most money.
I am not here to create stories. I am not here to steal your wallet. I am here to give the absolute best Automotive Service I am capable of, with no room for anything else.
This is my life’s pursuit.
This is my purpose.
You will remember my name.
